Introduction to stories-based learning
Modules 0-2
In this closed training programme participants can receive a very first, short, introduction to stories for learning in healthcare. This will therefore definitively include the orienting module 0 where trainees will get to experience for themselves what a narrative is/how to collect one, as well as module 2 where they will learn from focusing on the content of stories.
Working with the content of stories
Modules 0-1-2
In this closed training programme participants can receive two modules focused particularly on the content of narratives after the first orienting module 0 when they will get to experience for themselves what a narrative is/how to collect one (if needed). Modules 1 and 2 then focus on mindset orientation and learning from focusing on the content of stories.
What can we learn from stories?
Modules 0-1-3
In this closed training programme participants can receive three modules focused on a more in-depth learning about stories, covering both narrative content and structure in modules 2 and 3 respectively. This follows module 1 which is about mindset orientation and the first orienting module 0 (if necessary).
Working with inter-professional groups
Modules 0-1-2-4
In this closed training programme participants will receive training focused particularly on inter-professional working. They will all participate in module 1, about reflecting on their own professional mindset and then module 2 will show trainees how to work with the content of different narratives. Module 4 is particularly focused on bringing these together across professional boundaries.
Narrative-learning for practical skills
Modules 0-1-2-5
In this closed training programme, the focus is on developing and practicing skills to take directly back into practical contexts. So, this training also includes the mindset orientation in module 1, which is re-connected with in module 5 where practice-based skills will be made explicit and put into practice. Module 2 is included in order to provide the learning from narrative content to underpin changes to practice that are the focus of module 5.
Advanced narrative-learning for practical skills
Modules 0-1-2-3-5
This closed training programme is the most comprehensive set of modules to foster all the stories-based learning and skills that our programme offers, except for the module focused on inter-professional learning. So, in this programme trainers can expect to take participants through all the modules supporting them in mindset reflection, learning from the content and structure of narratives and then practicing these new skills in relation to their professional contexts.
